THE EXPERIENCE

Definition (Collins Dictionary)
Experience is knowledge or skill in a particular job or activity, which you have gained because you have done that job or activity for a long time.”

Experience is connected with individuals and teams who lived it.

Experience is a form of knowledge largely tacit and therefore difficult to share:
– it is acquired over time and seems obvious
– it is integrated into the action
– it is part of the personal story and associated to a specific context and time
– it is not documented, shared orally or by action

Experience can be converted into knowledge when it is:

  • EXPressed – described with words / images
  • EXPlored – contextualized, put in relation with other experiences
  • EXPlicited – described clearly and openly. Formalized

Knowledge can be:

  • EXPlained – shared with other members in the organization
